Regimental Bonspiel
Dewar’s Ice Rink, Perth, Thursday 31st March 2011
The Black Watch won the Regimental Bonspiel at Perth for the first time since 1993. The rink was skipped by Sir David Montgomery, with Peter Sutton, Roddy Riddell and Alan McEwen. The rink won through three rounds to lift the Highland Brigade Curling Club Cup first time since 1993. The Cup was first competed for in 1937.
The Highlanders won the Low Road winning two matches out of three. The rink was skipped by Allan Watson, with David Maitland-Makgill-Crichton, Neil Wimberley and Robin Hunt.
The Black Watch also won the Playoffs winning two matches out of three and being three shots up. The rink was skipped by Jamie Montgomery, with Jamie Erskine, Alec Stewart and Philip Halford-MacLeod.
